Zape Learning App Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to Zape Learning App (“we”, “us”, “our”), hereinafter referred to as "Zape". By using our educational app ("Zape Learning App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions ("Terms & Conditions"). Please review these terms carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this app.

Eligibility

Zape is designed for children in kindergarten or KG, with future plans to expand to grade 10. Users under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental consent to use our app. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that children under their care use the app in compliance with these Terms & Conditions.

Accounts and Registration

  • User Registration: Users must register for an account to access the app’s features. During registration, we collect personal information such as username, gender, date of birth, and a profile picture.
  • Parental Accounts: Parents or guardians must create an account using a one-time password (OTP) verification process to set up and manage child profiles.
  • Accuracy of Information: Users agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

Use of the App

  • Educational Content: Zape provides educational content tailored for children in grade 1, with plans to expand to other grades. The app offers various features designed to enhance the learning experience.
  • Level Progression: Users must complete levels with at least 80% accuracy to unlock the next level.
  • User Conduct: Users are expected to use the app responsibly and appropriately. The user can only interact with the app through feedback mechanisms provided by Zape.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • Data Collection: We collect personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes information such as usernames, gender, date of birth, and profile pictures.
  • Data Usage: Collected data is used to personalize the educational experience, maintain profiles, and support app functionality such as leaderboards.
  • Data Security: We employ measures such as Firebase Authentication and data encryption to protect user information.

Parental Controls

  • Profile Creation: Parents can create and manage profiles for their children, monitor their progress, and control the personal information associated with their profiles.
  • Content Monitoring: Parents have access to tools that allow them to review and control the content their children access within the app.

Subscription and Payment

  • Subscription Plans: No subscription plans are offered at the moment.

Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: All content, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and software, is the property of Zape or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • License: Zape grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and its content for personal, non-commercial use only.

Limitation of Liability

  • Use at Own Risk: Users agree to use the app at their own risk. Zape is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the app.
  • No Warranty: Zape provides the app "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

  • Amendments: We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Users will be notified of any significant changes through the app or via email.
  • Continued Use: Continued use of the app after any changes to these terms signifies acceptance of the updated terms.

Termination

  • Termination by User: Users may terminate their account at any time by following these steps, login to the app, click settings icon and they should see a delete account button.
  • Termination by Zape: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

    Support and Maintenance

    • Support: Users can provide feedback for support or to report issues through the feedback mechanisms provided within the app.
    • Updates: The app is updated and maintained every 10 days to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
